Fishplates

Fish plates are specially rolled sections used for joining the rails end to end with the help of fish bolts and thus maintain the line and level of the top table and gauge face of the rail ends. The name fish plate is traditionally given to this fitting as its section looks like a fish.

Glued Insulated Joints

Glued Joints bifurcate track circuits physically and electrically too. Apart from that Glued Joints are having more mechanical strength to retain insulation and to withstand rail creep mostly used along with Long Welded Rails.
